VALUE
Description
The VALUE project was developed with funds from the PO FESR 2014/2020 program – Action 1.1.5. – “Support for the technological advancement of companies through the financing of pilot lines and early product validation actions and large-scale demonstrations”.
The aim of the VALUE (Visual Analysis For Location And Understanding Of Environments) project is to revolutionize the visiting experience within museum spaces, using innovative technologies and digital tools. To this end, VALUE makes use of both innovative wearable devices, such as Microsoft Hololens II, and Smartphones and Tablets. On these tools, informative content is presented via Mixed Reality in which virtual objects are superimposed on the surrounding reality, so that the user can interact with them, creating a unique and engaging experience. The system collects data anonymously to provide statistical analyzes to the managing body and improve the experience offered to the visitor.
Through the VALUE system it will be possible to interact with archaeological and artistic elements and have contextualized information. By keeping track, in a totally anonymized way, of the ways in which the visitor moves within the museum (time of observation of the works, route, etc.), the system identifies the visitor’s preferences and offers “suggestions” on any other works present in the structure that may be of interest to you and/or on any proposals for the purchase of objects available in the museum shop. The attention shown by the visitor is also automatically translated into useful information for the manager of the structure to understand which works most observed and which routes are particularly followed by visitors, allowing to improve the organization of the museum and, consequently, the experience of visit offer.
