Description
VEDI is a research project carried out with the contribution of the benefits granted by the Ministry of Economic Development as part of the Announcement 1 June 2016, “Horizon 2020” PON 2014/2020 “Enterprises and Competitiveness” AXIS 1 – INNOVATION, Action 1.1. 3. (through CUTGANA) and the company IMC Service srl.
(through CUTGANA) and the company IMC Service srl. The project has developed an integrated system of Behavioral Analysis and Augmented Vision for the improvement of the offer and use in museum and natural spaces.
The technological platform is in fact capable of enriching the visitor experience and providing a valid and innovative analysis and verification tool to managing bodies, to improve the management of cultural sites.
The technological platform is in fact capable of enriching the experience. The system provides the possibility of providing the visitor with a mobile device, smart glasses or tablet, with which to take advantage of additional multimedia content (in augmented reality) and various types of visit suggestions (cultural and/or commercial). Through “Computer Vision” technologies it is possible to recognize and identify the objects “observed” during the visit, so as to be able to provide the visitor with a better use of the site in interactive mode.
The VEDI project was selected by INVITALIA among the interventions with the greatest impact for the valorization of the European Year of Cultural Heritage and was presented in Matera, European capital of culture for the year 2019, at the annual review meeting between the European Commission and the managing authorities of the 2014/2020 operational programs co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the European Social Fund (ESF).
Patented Product
To further protect the invention of the integrated Behavioral Analysis and Augmented Vision system, Xenia Document Management has taken steps to patent VEDI.
The patent constitutes, in fact, a strategic asset to be able to grow on the market, as it confers an exclusive right to exploit the invention and legal protection in the event of reproduction or improper use of the system.
